Cancel out the Noise!

In this day and age, we are constantly surrounded by noise. Everyone is hustling and bustling to get places, do things, plan, execute, sell etc, and the noise can become overwhelming. ANC is the cancelling out of sound through the use of additional noise. Through technology, we can cancel out any unwanted sound disturbances. The ANC system is capable of reducing background sounds by an impressive 40 decibels. Conversely, the ANC is not very effective when it comes to sharp sounds, for example, a hooter. It is more suited to droning and steady noises like engines, or generators.

To sum up, ANC is all about speakers, it is ideal for isolating you from any external interference and is fantastic for suppressing surrounding noise. ANC is a great choice when you want to watch videos or listen to music in a potentially noisy or public space. Unlike ENC (mentioned later), ANC only works one way, so if you are on a call, you won’t hear your background noise, but the person on the other end of the call will.

Environmental Noise Cancelling

ENC Technology has been developed to suppress or cancel all background noises – keeping the recipient in mind by removing ambient sounds. ENC is not always active and works only works when you are on a call. So, if you are on a call, the person on the other end will hear you without your background noise distracting them. Additionally, your background noise shouldn’t bug you either.

Which is Better?

Well, it all depends on what your need is. If you are someone that frequently uses headphones/earphones for business and conference calls, then we would highly recommend our range of ENC Earphone However, if you plan on using your headphones for listening to music, watching Netflix shows, and enjoying videos, then ANC is the way to go. In most cases you can switch the ANC on and off, so try switching it off and listen to the difference it actually makes. The pandemic in 2020 brought about an era of almost immediate change in the working structure of most professions. We can credit the constant development of technology for allowing us access to almost everything from wherever we are. This is done through a system called “EarEEG” which combines an AI algorithm with the data captured by the sensors.
