“My dream is for my music to grow bigger than me and to bring South African culture to the world. I want to be happy and financially free.“
Formerly known as (NOTBENJAMIN) is the epitome of selflessness. His name signifies a commitment to focusing on others, uplifting them through his music and platforms like $TREETFE$T, a nationwide hip-hop event aimed at giving a stage to up-and-coming artists. $TREETFE$T was born out of Benjamin’s desire to help artists who lacked financial backing. His innovative use of “creative currency” a system where artists trade favours instead of money has been a game-changer in SA’s music scene, showing how collaboration can “push culture”. As he grows, NOTBENJAMIN is beginning to share more of his personal journey, introducing the world to BENJAMIN – who he is beyond the music. His advice to artists: “Consistency will bring out the quality. Prioritise it.”

Overcoming obstacles in his childhood, Jedd turned his struggles into fuel for his creativity. His music is an outlet, a form of expression that keeps him grounded and he uses his platform to inspire others, even if it is one person at a time. From beatboxing to songwriting, Jedd’s journey is one of resilience and growth. His advice is simple yet profound: “Keep the words ‘I can’t’ out of your mouth. With her soulful voice and unapologetic attitude, S B X is a force to be reckoned with. Raised in a creative family, her love for performing started at a young age. During the COVID lockdown, she turned her emotions into art, officially launching her career in 2020. With a fearless drive and a refusal to follow trends, S B X is here to disrupt, inspire, and create conversations. “Shake sh*t up and trust your vision,” she says. Her music blends RnB with trap soul, aiming to connect deeply with her audience while inspiring meaningful conversations.

Reality TV star, MC, DJ, dancer, singer, and actor, Austin Scheepers has worn many hats in his career. His journey began when he entered kykNET’s – Kwarantyn during lockdown. The show opened unexpected doors, and Austin soon found himself hyping crowds, teaching choreography, and even working with the Springboks on the World Cup Trophy Tour. One of his defining moments came when he was invited on stage at a LOFI concert. What started as a spontaneous performance turned into a full-fledged career. Today, Austin’s goal is to remain a versatile entertainer, continue building his network, and ultimately, fulfill his dream of becoming a singer. Austin’s advice: “It’s not what you know; it’s who you know. Build your connections.”

ZRi is a 22-year-old artist who found his peace and purpose through music which is a reflection of his journey – raw, introspective, and authentic. Born in Jozi and now based in Pretoria, through Mamelani (the event he curates) ZRi has helped create a platform for jazz, spoken word poetry, and open mic performances, fostering a sense of community among young creatives. His music is soulful, inspired by his mom’s love for RnB and jazz. ZRi’s advice: “Remember, you’re human before you’re creative. Without the human, there is no creative.”

“My dream is to become as big as my music and to build a legacy through my art.”
Meneer Cee is unapologetically amazing, amazing, and amazing, his words, not ours. A man of versatility, Meneer Cee is a producer, MC, rapper, DJ, and, above all, an all-around entertainer. Growing up in the vibrant streets of Reiger Park, his journey has been one of determination and transformation. His debut single, “Wie se kind is die?”, put his hood on the map. He dreams of bringing the world to his community, turning every “setback into a setup for a comeback”. Meneer Cee’s advice is simple yet powerful: “Take your losses (L’s) and turn them into wins (W’s).” When asked about the “C” in his name, he explained, “It stands for Courageous, Confident, and, most importantly, Cute.”
